February 10th 2010: Studying Always-On Electricity Feedback in the Home to be presented at CHI 2010
Some of my research started in 2008 after my graduation has been accepted for publication at CHI this year. I will be presenting a three steps tentative approach to always-on feedback in the Home, and results of a study exploring design aspects relevant to this issue.Download Paper

February 8th 2010: Contract at Microsoft
As of today, I have started working as a user experience researcher vendor at Microsoft. The contract lasts until the end of June.

Januray 27th 2010: Hard-to-Use Interfaces Considered Beneficial (Some of the Time) accepted at alt.chi 2010
If you're planning to come to CHI, or if you read what comes out of it, this message is for you. The provocative piece written with collaborators at Microsoft Research, INRIA France, and Ecole Centrale Paris has been accepted at the alt.chi track of the CHI conference. It describes how in two instances, smoothing out interaction barriers in the design of interfaces could result in less interesting designs. We're looking forward to your comments on this issue! January 25th 2010 OSU colloquium: Leveraging People's Intimacy with Data
Gave a talk at OSU discussing how in my work, I have tried to leverage people's intimacy with their own lives and situations when designing peer support communication devices and feedback systems.
